The Saguaro Hotel-
Sometimes the SoCal sun just isn’t enough so us LA moms take a trip to the desert! Palm Springs is about 3 hours outside of the Los Angeles Area. It is an easy, family friendly location with not much to do besides lounge by the pool (and golf, if you are into that sort of thing)
After returning from filming his latest movie, Ian decided it was time for a family getaway to sunny Palm Springs. I knew immediately that I wanted to check out The Saguaro Hotel. It is the perfect place to play and take some awesome photos of your family. The have even been featured in Vogue, ELLE, Dwell, Refinery29, and Esquire!
Here are some of my favorite things about The Saguaro Hotel-
The Rooms-
Covered in rainbow blankets, and bright desert flower colors, you can choose your view— pool, mountain, garden, courtyard, or city lights. Each room has a private balcony or patio. You might even get your own garden. Each room has indoor and outdoor sitting areas, work stations, and organic bath products and linens. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and the colors kept us all smiling!
The Pool-
The yellow umbrellas and hot pink towels create a small utopia in the desert. You will easily be distracted by a unicorn or a flamingo floating by! The pool bar is stocked with breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, plus fresh fruit punches and boozy frozen drinks in the cutest watermelon mugs just perfect for a picture.
Get your Sweat on-
You don’t have to stop your routine just because you are on a trip. The Saguaro brought every good LA’ers favorite activities to their hotel. You can hit up Yoga, bike cruisers or the 24 hour gym- they also have a spa so you can find even more ways to relax in the desert!
The Restaurants-
Because Margaritas and tacos always sound good, the Saguaro has the perfect spot after a long day at the pool. At their El Jefe Restaurant we enjoyed our chips, tacos and spicy jalapeno-celery margaritas after playing and riding unicorns at the pool! (interesting combo but delicious!)
