June 2nd marks one of the best days of the year in our opinion…it is National Donut Day. A day where it is perfectly acceptable to stand in line for a box of vibrantly colored donuts. In the past we have gotten the normal glazed or sprinkles and been fairly excited about it, but this year we celebrated this joyous day with Care Bears. It is their 35th anniversary so they teamed up with California Donuts and created the cutest box of donuts. Seriously swoon-worthy.
Care Bears x California Donuts collab
We headed over to California Donuts to meet one of our favorite childhood Care Bears, Share Bear. We have never met a life-sized Carebear before and let us tell you…Share Bear did not disappoint. Share Bear was embraced the kiddos with love and hugs. It was the cutest and the little girl in us could not have been more excited. Not to mention, the the first 40 people to buy half a dozen Care Bears donuts got a free Care Bears X #CaliforniaDonuts tote filled with goodies!! Talk about a serious Fri-YAY! Care Bears, donuts and nostalgic swag…I think this might have qualified for the Best Day Ever.
Fun Fact: California Donuts was/is an immigrant family that started a small mom-and-pop shop 35 years ago just to make ends meet… this has truly been the American dream and then some. This donut shop has a serious cult following on IG.
We also got to check out the Care Bear mobile or more accurately the Care Bear van. It was so cute. See pics below. Inside were amazing little gift bags full of Care Bear swag.
