We all talk about girl power and honestly we are all hoping that we as grown women embody true “girl power,” but it is easy to lose sight of what exactly that means today. Last week, I found renewed inspiration for what girl power means today. While interviewing the cast of Project MC2 (a Netflix show), the 5 lead girls reminded me smart is the new cool and you can definitely accomplish that all in style.

So what is Project MC2 about:
Per Wikipedia: The series is set in a fictional city called Maywood Glen, California, it revolves around the fields of STEAM, and the adventures of McKeyla McAlister and her best friends, who work for a government organization called NOV8 (pronounced “innovate”), a highly secretive group of female government operatives who are trying to protect the world.

The 5 main girls of Project MC2 are diverse looking physically and in personality; however, these super-smart teens band together to use their science skills to save the day not to mention that have some pretty cool super spy skills. Not only do these girls have awesome characters that they play o this show, they also are pretty cool young role models for girls.
One of my favorite parts of the interview was the quote from one of the main actresses, Victoria Vida who said:
“Embrace yourself, don’t erase yourself”
This girl could not be a better role model fro young girls today.
I had a bast checking out Part 5 of Project MC2, interviewing the cast and enjoying the after party on the rooftop of The London Hotel in West Hollywood. All the latest toys and science experiments from Project MC2 were out for all to see and we got to take a couple home with us. Thank you to Jenni Garth for hosting such a fun evening!
