There is no doubt that we all LOVE Toms Shoes, right? They are so fun to slip on for that pop of easy color. Not only is every shoe you buy give a pair to someone in need, once a year Toms also creates a mini line of shoes to benefit their animal rights initiative…AWESOME! This year it is a collab with WildAid around the giant panda.
Here are some quick facts about Giant Pandas:
- There are only 2,000 giant pandas left in the wild
- Money raised by the “Panda Collection” also helps an education initiative for impoverished students living adjacent to critical panda habitats in Sichuan, China
- Giant panda habitats in China support 70% of endemic forest bird and mammal species
Kudos to fellow mama Heather Mycoskie, the owner of Toms Shoes wife, who has a passion for global animal protection. We love that once a year she create an awareness and fundraising campaign.
The Panda collection can be found online at Toms Shoes.
Embroidered Panda are only available in the Tiny Toms up to toddler 11 ($42)
Panda Camo Black and Multi come in from newborn to youth to men’s and women’s sizes ($36-$59)
We celebrated the launch of the “Panda” collection at Au Fudge in West Hollywood. Au Fudge is one of the few spots in Los Angeles that has delicious comfort food designed for a foodie and an awesome “creative space” for kids to play while mommies and daddies dine. We don’t think there is a better concept out there. While us mommies checked out the adorable new Toms shoes, our kiddos designed their own Panda cookie, Panda mask, got their faces painted and so much more. It was a great afternoon celebrating an incredible cause. The Panda collection is still BOGO as well as donating part of the proceeds to WildAid. Pretty awesome shoes!
