One of our favorite ways to kick off the holiday season is heading to Disneyland and California Adventure with our families. From the moment you walk in the spirit of the Holidays is in the air. Christmas music plays overhead while lights twinkle all around! Your very own Millennial Mamas put together our list for the Disney Holidays , so make sure to check it twice….. here are our top 10 things to make sure you do:

1) Arrive at the park as soon as it opens and get your MaxPass set up
After talking to a Disney staff member, we learned that it is fairly normal to have 5 minute wait lines on Saturday and Sunday mornings before 10am. A great new feature is the MaxPass app for Disneyland where you can scan your tickets, get Fast Passes for the day and see all the photos those amazing Disney photographers take of you and your family throughout the day!
2) Take a photo with the Disneyland or California Adventure Christmas Tree
Do it as soon as you get there or there will crowds of people taking photos.

3) A Small World
A Small World takes holiday festivities to an unimaginable level. It was all lit up, festive holiday music was playing and it was like riding through a childhood holiday dream. Now the pictures don’t so it justice, but it is simply beautiful and a must do for sure day or night.

4) Haunted Holiday Mansion
Do you love Nightmare Before Christmas! If so, the Haunted Mansion is transformed this season to celebrate with our favorite characters from this iconic movie! Penna was the first one in line and had the best time!
5) Festival of Holidays (CA Adventure)
It is happening now through Jan 8th. This festival is inspired by cultural traditions around the world. There were craft tables for Hannukah and Diwali and food & beverages from around the world in the Festive Foods Marketplace. Not to mention cool performances by different cultures
6) Take a family photo at the Sleeping Beauty Castle
The Castle is decked out this time of year with lots of Holiday Cheer! Don’t forget to get your iconic photo before the garland comes down!

7) Disney ¡Viva Navidad!
This is one of my favorite holiday festivities at Disney. Between one of our many rides at Goofy’s Sky School at CA Adventure, we always stop and dance to the latin beat of this festive performance. All the classic Disney characters are out on floats, people dancing in the streets and the music will make your hips shake.
8) Visit Santa at Redwood Challenge Trail
This is a great place for kids to run around and challenge themselves to rock climbing, slides, zip lines and more, but during the holidays they can get a picture with Santa (before 12/25) or Santa Goofy (12-26-1/8) at the Ahwahnee Camp Circle. Go on the scavenger hunt and race ducks with Chip and Dale! Our kids did it all!

9) World of Color’s Season of Light
It’s the most beautiful choreography of lights, Christmas music, fire and animation. It is truly unrivaled and a MUST DO and worth staying up late for!
10) A Christmas Fantasy Parade
A Disneyland MUST! All the characters, princesses and more come out in full holiday spirit.
There is no more magical way to celebrate the holidays than at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. This will definitely become an annual holiday excursion for us. Make sure you visit the park for all these fun festivities by January 8th, 2017!
