Now that we have entered the month of November, the holiday season is definitely under way. One of our favorite November activities is Friendsgiving. These Millennial Mamas kicked off our first Friendsgiving in the most epic way ever…at the 100 acre woods in honor of Christopher Robin coming to digital and blu-ray on November 6th. What is fun about this movie is that as we have grown up since we first saw Winnie the Pooh as a child, so has Christopher Robin. This movie is about Christopher as an adult who gets a very fun visit from his childhood pal, Pooh who needs his help to find his adorable crew which includes Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo. Once everyone is reunited, Pooh and this friends travel to the big city to help Christopher rediscover the joy of life. This movie is beautifully shot with an equally beautiful storyline that is appropriate for the whole family to watch together this holiday season.
- Veena and her new Hunny pot florals
- Christopher Robin and his Friendsgiving
- Erin and Friends
We started off our Christopher Robin celebrations with making our very own “Hunny” pot floral arrangements. Some of the tips we learned when designing your own floral pot includes:
- Florals lose their water in 10 seconds…so cut the stem and place quickly into your vase
- Start your floral design from the outside and work your way in
- Your showcase florals (foliage or florals) should be placed last and in the center
After making these adorable Hunny pots, we headed over to Friendsgiving lunch. We had a delicious Thanksgiving style meal and then checked out some of the amazing props from the Christopher Robin movie that transcended us back into our childhood. The Pooh Bear and Eyeore looked just as loved as the ones we grew up with and loved on during our childhood.
Lastly, we were treated to a very intimate roundtable with the one and only Jim Cummings who has been the legendary voice behind Winnie the Pooh and in this Christopher Robin movie…both Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore. Jim has voiced over 400 of your most beloved characters over the last 35+ years and it was an incredible treat to hear him share some of his favorite lines in his favorite characters in person.
